Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school desired.
- High School diploma or GED, one to three years of related formal training, and/or one to three years of related work experience required.
- Must be able to read and write English sufficiently enough to fully understand safety policies, work instructions, chemical warning labels, etc.
- Good math skills and mechanical ability.
- Good understanding of basic electrical series circuitry
- Ability to use rulers, scales, calipers and other physical measuring instruments.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic understanding in regard to the pressure, force and area relationships
- Must have and use own tools of various types
- Ability to learn the process for repairing molds quickly
- Knowledge of air tools, such as pencil grinders, angle grinders and straight grinders
- Must be able to be Forklift certified
- Walking / standing for minimum of 8 hours per day including stooping and kneeling around equipment such as presses or bond cells.
- Ability to use fingers for fine movement and feel to make fine judgments about textures, pressure and tension
- Make strenuous finger/hand movements
- Ability to identify and make judgements using colors, auditory tones, pitches, aromas
- Frequently pushing, pulling or lifting / carrying up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Bending, stooping and carrying.
- Some exposures to chemicals
- Climb ladders at least 20' in height and work from heights in excess of 35'
- Climb aboard a standard forklift repeatedly in an 8-hour period of time.
- Capable and willing to crawl, crouch, lay prone and work within tight areas and confined spaces
- Must be able to work in high temperatures.
- Ability to use hand tools both manual and powered, precision and non-precision
- Ability to troubleshoot machine controls
- Ability to use lathes, saws, mills and drill presses
- Ability to follow maintenance procedures, both written and oral, drawings and scales
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends and/or alternate shifts as required.
- Must be able to travel from time to time including overnight, as required.
