We are seeking a Maintenance Electronics Technician for our Carey, Ohio Plant.
Position Summary:
The Electronics Technician works in the Maintenance Department and troubleshoots repairs; documents; and is responsible for programming all electronics systems in the Plant.
Plant systems include the following:
- Press controls
- Programmable and computer logic controllers
- Robotics systems
- Secondary electronics systems
- Assist in hydraulic, pneumatic, steam and mechanical systems
- Responsible for maintenance of all plant equipment when in-house skilled trades require technical assistance.
- The Electronics Technicians are also responsible for new equipment installations and upgrading of existing equipment for continuous process improvement.
Essential Job Functions:
- Programmable Logic Controller and process computer installation and repair.
- Programmable Logic Controller and process computers lager logic design and diagnostics.
- Troubleshooting of all plant equipment.
- Robotics systems and interface design, installation and general programming.
- Electronics monitoring systems, design and construction.
- Al Servo control systems, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Complete documentation of all plant equipment: electrical, ladder logic, and controls.
- PLC and robotic system software backups.
- Support Plant safety rules and follow workforce contract, policies and processes.
- Preventative maintenance of electronic equipment.
- Promote quality standards, environmental policies and 5-S.
- Support production with equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Upgrade system operations to improve part quality and increase productivity.
- Continuous improvement of Plant equipment to enhance downtime prevention.
- Service Engineering and production personnel requests to help with process and quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Two years working with electronics/electrical systems.
- Strong preference to have previous experience working in a manufacturing plant, related to the automotive industry.
- Associate’s degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology and successful completion of a technical certification course (i.e. HVAC, maintenance/repair, electrical, etc.).
- Equivalent military training, or other related technical training, or successful completion of at least 45 college credit hours may be substituted for technical training.
